fraternity news Support the Collegiate Housing and Infrastructure Act Kappa Kappa Gamma is proud to be working with other Greek-letter organizations to encourage Congress to pass legislation to facilitate tax-deductible contributions for housing infrastructure improvement. This effort is sponsored by the Capital Fraternal Caucus, a Washington, D.C.-based Greek umbrella organization representing the U.S. fraternities and sororities. The act would erase a long-standing disparity in the law and allow educational foundations to use tax-deductible charitable contributions to make grants to local house corporations for the purpose of improving existing not-for-profit student housing or building new housing. Passage of the act would be a major benefit for all fraternity/sorority housing nationwide, as it would make it easier to raise the dollars needed for critical life-safety enhancements and other infrastructure improvements in order to sustain Greek housing.
