Senior Amateur Invitational Golf Championship Greene Country Club Fairborn, Ohio July 19 – 21 The Women’s Ohio State Golf Association will be conducting its 11th Senior Amateur Invitational Golf Championship on July 19, 20 and 21, 2009. The championship is a 36-hole stroke play event that will be played at Greene Country Club in Fairborn, Ohio. The entry fee of $150 includes a practice round, two rounds of competition, range balls, prizes, and an association dinner and luncheon at the conclusion of play each day. Lynn Thompson of Cincinnati is the defending champion. Scheduled to compete in the tournament are past champions, Alison Reifers of Columbus, Pat Milton of Akron, Cathy Jefferson of Dayton, and Mary Ann Bierman of Cleveland. The entry deadline is July 9. Entry blanks are available at the WOSGA web site http://www.wosga. org or contact the organization at wosga@ att.net Ohio Junior Girl’s Championship Marion Country Club Marion, Ohio July 12 – 14 The 33rd Ohio Junior Girls Championship will be played at Marion Country Club in Marion, Ohio. The fi eld is full and players will have a practice round on July 12 and compete in two days of stroke play on July 13 and 14. An overall champion and runner-up will be crowned and prizes will also be awarded in the three age divisions. The age divisions are as follows: Divisio n I = 16-18 years of age Division II = 14-15 years of age Division III = 13 years of age and under.
